A two-wheeled tour to prominence: sophisticated Kitzbühel

From Hotel Sonnalp, you're not far from the rich and famous either. Drive towards Zell am Ziller. Once there, take the Gerlos alpine road (toll road) to Mittersill and past the impressive Krimmler water falls.

After that you'll have time for a break. Oskars snack tip in Mittersill: Restaurant Bräurup with its own brewery.

Brush shoulders with the big players from the world of business and entertainment

After the break you'll be moving further on. Over the Thurn Pass to Kitzbühel. In summer you'll come across stars such as Hansi Hinterseer or Fiona Swarovski … and a good chance to see the singing innkeeper, Rossi Schipflinger.

So get off your bikes. Alone the views from the Kitzbüler Alps are worth the stay.

The way back takes you to Reith bei Kitzbühel and Ellmau through the ski area Wilden Kaiser and along to Wörgl. From there it's on to Breitenbach, past the Reintalersee lake to Kramsach, Brixlegg and Strass im Zillertal to Maurach.
